Racker/Helper

Essential Job Duties /Responsibilities

Rack, un-rack, and package customer parts per the work order. Ensure all customer product is handled properly to avoid damage. Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner. Visually inspect the product prior to racking while notifying the Team Leader/Supervisor of any non-conformances. Record necessary racking and un-racking information on the work order. Work safely at all times and comply with all safety regulations while working with Hazardous materials and chemicals. Work with a positive attitude and report all questions or problems to the Team Leader or Supervisor. Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.

Experienced positions

Has prior experience at plating company(s)

Electroplating Operator

Takes responsibility for and run all aspects of an electroplating production line. Accurately follow written procedures, adjust bath chemistry, and inspect raw and finished product using a variety of inspection methods and equipment. Duties include:

  • Sets, starts, and shuts down electroplating lines
  • Works to achieve scheduling priorities on the line
  • Tracks key metrics to constantly drive continuous improvement
  • Works to ensure safe practices and company policies and procedures are followed
  • Works closely with production supervisors to coordinate and schedule tasks/projects
  • Works closely with support supervisors to coordinate and schedule tasks/projects
  • Works to ensure the ongoing success of company maintenance plans and objectives
  • Works to ensure ongoing success of company housekeeping and organization objectives
  • Reads and accurately interprets work instructions, provides feedback on issues and changes
  • Performs other assigned duties to achieve the goals of the department and company

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Maintenance Technician

Has experience as described below.

General maintenance experience in an industrial environment with basic plumbing/pipefitting, electrical, mechanical systems, machine repair, facilities management.  Able to troubleshoot and repair pumps, filters, motors, drives, hoists, rectifiers, air compressors, process heating controls, etc.  Experience with industrial process boilers and preventive maintenance. Predictive maintenance a plus.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School diploma/GED

Must be a team player and demonstrate the ability to read and write English and complete simple mathematical equations. Must be able to follow strict policy and OSHA guidelines. Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Must be attentive to detail.

Laboratory Technician

full or part-time; some chemistry background desirable

Control the plating process by monitoring and analyzing the condition of the plating baths and maintaining the correct chemical concentrations. Analyze the condition of baths plating line according to established procedures and frequencies. Maintain accurate records of test results on appropriate statistical chart and react to any out-of-control conditions. Based on test results, notify the process manager/supervisor of any unusual chemical additions to plating baths. Notify the process manager of any changes which will on line result of approved process parameter changes. Maintain the lab area and lab equipment in clean, operational condition. Execute systems start-up and shutdown in accordance with prescribed procedures.
